Meet our PEAK Artist of The Month for December – Lincolnhotchen.
Lincolnhotchen (He/They) is a Vancouver-based multi-instrumentalist, producer and artist who infuses indie rock production with infectious pop melodies. Since joining the Juno award-winning band Said the Whale in 2018 as their bassist, Lincoln has embarked on several North American tours, sharing stages with bands like Mother Mother and Tokyo Police Club.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Tyler the Creator, The Beatles, Slow Pulp, and Homeshake, Lincoln blends a wide array of aesthetics under the alternative blanket to create a unique sonic identity. His latest singles “Highlight” and “Pop-up Headlights” showcase his knack for crafting catchy, upbeat tunes with playful lyrics, bringing a light-hearted energy that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
As a self-taught musician, producer and mixing engineer, Lincoln manages every aspect of his music—from writing and performing to recording and mixing—ensuring each track is a true reflection of his artistic vision. Beyond his solo work, he actively collaborates with local artists in Vancouver, producing and mixing their music and contributing to the city’s vibrant creative community.
