We Helped Mara Record Multiple Copies Of Her Mother’s Last Message
Mara Soriano was reunited with the Build-A-Bear containing a voice message from her late mother last week.
The bear originally went missing during her move when someone stole it from the alley behind her new apartment. After a long hunt, many pleas and the community coming together, the bear was safely returned to Mara early last week.
The story caught the attention of Vancouverrtes across the city, and celebrities across the globe, even reaching Ryan Reynolds who paid up on a $5000 reward for the safe return of the bear and a promise of some Aviation Gin.
Got a few of these babies today! thank you @VancityReynolds and @AviationGin! Can't wait to mix up some (okay many) celebratory drinks! pic.twitter.com/S5cHrJsTac

When we heard the story we realized one thing we could do to help is record the audio from the bear, have a producer clean it up, and get it back to Mara so she can have multiple copies. Just in case the voice box in the bear faded over time, the batteries died, or god forbid the bear went missing again.
After we threw the offer out on the air, Mara got in contact and came in to record.
She now has multiple copies of the audio saved on so many different clouds and hard drives it can be listened too for years to come.
She wanted to thank everyone in Vancouver who came together and helped her get the bear back.
